In a notable move, Israel has turned to importing cars from Morocco as an alternative to overcome the Turkish boycott. The country has announced the import of a limited number of Moroccan-made cars, all from the Renault Group, which includes the Renault and Dacia brands.
According to the Israeli website “Calcalist,” the coming months are expected to see the arrival of the Peugeot 208 cars, produced at Stellantis factories in Morocco.
This direction is a strategic step for Israel to capitalize on Morocco’s thriving industrial sector, which has become an important hub for car production for global markets. The Moroccan-Israeli collaboration is expected to expand options for Israeli consumers, amid ongoing trade tensions with Turkey.
