The forces of the Sana’a government announced today, Tuesday, that they had targeted a commercial ship they accused of violating a ban on entering Israeli ports.
In a press statement, the spokesperson for the Sana’a government forces, Yahya Saree, stated: “The naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out an operation targeting the ship Anadolu S in the Red Sea using several appropriate ballistic and naval missiles, achieving precise and direct hits.”
Saree added that “the targeting came after the ship failed to respond to warnings issued by the naval forces and due to the ship’s owner’s violation of the decision to ban entry into the ports of occupied Palestine.”
He emphasized that “the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to impose a naval blockade on the Israeli enemy and target all ships associated with it, heading toward it, or dealing with it.” He further noted that “operations targeting the Israeli enemy with missiles and drones will persist until the aggression ceases, the blockade on Gaza is lifted, and attacks on Lebanon come to an end.”
