On Sunday, Sana’a government forces released footage of large-scale military exercises involving ground and naval units, simulating a wide-ranging attack on Yemeni territories.
The Sana’a government announced that these drills were conducted along Yemen’s eastern coast as part of what they described as a campaign in support of Gaza and Lebanon.
Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October, Sana’a forces have intensified their operations in the region, launching drones toward Israel and targeting vessels linked to Israel in the Red Sea.
In response to the escalation of these attacks, the United States has formed a coalition of more than 20 countries aimed at protecting commercial shipping in the Red Sea from threats posed by Sana’a forces.
Sana’a government forces have stated that these measures will not deter them from continuing their operations against the “Zionist enemy,” affirming that attacks on U.S. and British vessels will persist until the war and siege on Gaza come to an end.
